Shitty Food.......

The Subway Sandwich! A guilty pleasure of mine. The Italian BMT, the Cold Cut Combo, the Spicy Italian, any of these sandwiches for some reason hit the spot each and every time! Often I'm asked "why would you eat that when your a professional Chef?". "It's a funny thing", I reply, "nothing sounds better after a long day of cooking filet mignon, braised short ribs and risotto than shitty food." I have found it to be true of so many of my Chef friends. In-N-Out, Taco Bell, Subway (the healthiest of the lot), Carl's Jr. and Del Taco make up the top five answers I've been given. Funny right? You would think that after depleting your body of precious resources one would have a tall glass of water, some fruit and vegetables and maybe a nice piece of chicken or small serving of steak to get your body back to normal......nah! A cold beer, maybe some bourbon, and as much shitty food as possible. Soft tacos add secret sauce from Del Taco.......yes please! A 4x animal style and animal style fries......Absolutely!!!! A ten pack tacos and burritos from Taco Bell......Only if you split it with red and green sauce!! Maybe it is safe to say that we Chefs aren't fat from tasting food all day rather it's all that shitty food!!!!

Now where is my BMT? I'm STARVING!

First time for everything!

You can never be a success unless you go for it right? People who don't try, don't succeed. People who don't play, don't win. I have often used these analogies in my life. Often times in poor context (just ask my wife about my love for gambling! lol), but overall, about everything. Once again, here I go trying something new......blogging! I have often thought about sitting down and writing, discussing, sharing, describing opening up my world to the public. Why not right? It seems that everyone wants to be a Chef so why on earth wouldn't people want to read a blog by a Chef? I realize I'm not the first to do something like this and I by no means am saying that this will be the Santa Maria of blogs sailing to some new found territory. But, I like to write and it's about damn time I start doing it for all to enjoy! I will use this as a vessel to share recipes, ideas, debauchery, cocktails, photos and whatever else I can think of that is on my mind.......or my plate. It might not always be about food, hell, it might not even make sense, but it will entertain, enrich and expand your knowledge, somehow, someway and shit, who knows, maybe this ship will hit some new lands? Won't know until we try!! Stay tuned and be good!!
